Hi! I’m Amber, a sci-fi writer and narrative animator/illustrator.

Following six years in the Navy as a hospital corpsman, I graduated from the School of the Art Institute of Chicago with my Bachelor’s in Fine Art in 2023, and currently live in Washington state.

I began writing stories as a child, and picked up art as a teenager to further explore my ideas and characters. Now, illustration and animation are an integral part of my writing and world-building process. I write long and short-form works, but my heart remains in novels that blur science and fantasy. I dabble in other forms of storytelling, like short films, comics, zines, and typography and book design, including covers done for my childhood best friend and writing colleague, Rhea Rainwater.

When I’m not writing or animating, I’m studying for my nursing degree, weight-lifting, or playing 90s RPGs. I’m adore all things sci-fi, especially the old, gritty kind like Bladerunner and Akira. I’m kept busy by my two dogs, three cats, ball python, and indoor plant collection that just won’t stop growing.
